Joferson A. (“Jofre”) Blanco is the founder and head coach of Heritage Pack Athletic Development (HPAD Basketball) and co-founder of One Prep Basketball alongside one of the top ACAC all-time leading scorers Kenny Jonnson. He is also a USAB (USA Basketball) Certified Coach, reflecting his commitment to high standards of teaching, player safety, and development.
Based in Edmonton, Jofre draws on his NCAA Division II experience at Metropolitan State and over seven seasons of high school coaching, as both assistant and head coach, during which he contributed to four championship wins by combining tactical expertise with targeted player development. Under Jofre’s leadership, HPAD has become a recognized regional program committed to building Basketball IQ, physical performance, and competitive toughness. The program pairs technology-driven skill work (Shoot360) with strength and performance partnerships (Spotlight Athletic Development), consistent tournament exposure, and a values-first culture that readies athletes for next-level opportunities. As co-founder of One Prep Basketball with Kenny Jonnson, Jofre is expanding pathways for elite prep competition, creating structured exposure circuits and development tracks for Canadian athletes aiming at collegiate recruitment.
Jofre’s coaching philosophy centers on accountability, deliberate practice, and mentorship producing players who can perform in pressure situations and lead beyond the court. He also collaborates with local clubs, legal/administrative partners, and media teams to ensure safe, compliant travel and professional exposure for athletes. Jofre remains active in community initiatives across Edmonton and is committed to scaling HPAD and One Prep’s footprint across Western Canada.
